W. Morgan Millirons


Sheriff of Giles County

Morgan Millirons is a lifelong resident of Giles County. He was born at Giles Memorial Hospital in 1965 to Wendell and Nancy Millirons of Narrows.  He is the grandson of Kester and Neva Millirons of Narrows and the late Gilbert and Frances Hale of Narrows.

Morgan received his education through the Giles County Public Schools.  He attended Narrows Elementary and is a graduate of Narrows High School Class of 1983.

Morgan is married to the former Janet Chafin, daughter of Harold and Norma Chafin of Pearisburg.  They were married in 1991 and live in the town of Pembroke with their children, Anna Morgan, a student at Giles High School,  and William Eli who attends Eastern Elementary/Middle School.

Morgan began his law enforcement career in 1987 with the Giles County Sheriff’s Department.  He was employed there until 1995 when he became a patrol officer for the Town of Pembroke.  In 1996, he accepted a position with the Virginia Tech Police Department where he reached the rank of Sergeant before being elected Sheriff of Giles County in November 2007.
